Autograph Surprise!!!!!

So after our FIRST show of Hedwig, we had so many things on our list of to-do’s we were unable to get back to the theater and try to get Michael C. Hall’s autograph.  That was really the only thing I was sad about when it came to our trip out in October. So when we got home Robb suggested that we send one of our Playbills back to the Belasco with a letter and ask if we can get it signed by him, worst case we lose one of the Playbills.  I am almost 30 and I have NEVER written a “fan letter” but Robb said this would be our best shot to have this work. So I spend the day trying to figure out what to write and then I sent it back to Robb to see if we needed to make any changes.  That night I rewrote it by hand and we sent it off with high hopes. (Sent 10/31/2014) That same night we bought tickets to our second show, so we knew we would 100% be out waiting that time, so we kind of forgot mostly about getting anything back, also I had seen that a lot of people were getting letters back requesting a donation be made to Broadway Cares to receive a signed Playbill back. So at that point I thought ok well we won’t be getting ours back, but again not such a big loss, I mean we were only really out the cost of stamps, which I had on hand anyhow so it didn’t feel like a loss.  Plus if you look at an older post you will see that we got to meet MCH and get his Auto in person! However on 12/06/2014 we got our envelope back in the mail! We were both in a bit of shock and couldn’t wait to get it open, and when we opened it we were both SO PUMMPED!!! I mean look!!

He wrote our names! OUR NAMES! So I think that means he also read our letter!!

What a wonderful surprise!!! I cannot wait to get this framed!  We ordered two frames so we could frame our two Playbills (Hedwig and Kinky Boots) they should be in on Thursday! So yeah I am very excited. So I just wanted to share that with you all. I also went ahead and ordered the Hedwig Poster signed by the entire cast to have framed as well for my Christmas gift to myself. I can’t wait to get that in either.  I even talked to Emily about that for a bit on if I should or shouldn’t do that but she said I should.  And I didn’t need much convincing after that. It was our first Broadway show and that means a lot to me if you can’t already tell. Such a huge dream of mine to come true and it just keeps getting better.  So exciting! Much love to all!

What a STEAL!!!!

I made megan put it on so I could take a picture that day

So I was kind of very excited about my find last Friday. It was a super slow day at work and I still had a birthday gift card for $20 to Khols from my good friend Carissa, so I thought well let’s just go grab a sweater. Megan was my lunch cover for the day so I asked her if she would mind if I did that because I was worried I might run over my allotted time. She was fine with it and gave me a 20% off coupon and a $5 off coupon as well to use. So off I went… I looked around for a bit and then I found one that caught my eye. It was originally $70! I have been known to just spend whatever because I HATE digging for things but luckily this one was on sale. So I just knew this was the one I wanted and it was SO soft. It’s that new “eyelash” sweater stuff. Seriously its like wearing a cozy blanket. Anyhow I get up to the checkout line and they take my gift card and the coupons and I GOT MONEY BACK!!! Now it was only $2 and some change but seriously I just got PAID to get something new! That has NEVER happened to me.  Talk about being on cloud nine, I just walked out with a $70 sweater with money BACK! Woah! So of course I had to show and tell everyone at work and text Carissa (to thank her) Leah (so she could be proud of me, she is always so good at getting deals like this) and Emily (because I tell her like everything) so I could talk about it.  I never get deals like this so yeah I just really wanted to tell the world about it hahah. I know that is silly but really, when do you go shopping and get money back and LOVE the new item. I am wearing it at work today so that’s what made me want to post about it because I got all excited again. But really it’s the softest thing I have ever had on me.

                   Me rocking it today

I LOVE IT! I think I need to shop at Khols way more!

Hedwig and the Angry Inch take 2!

I think I had mentioned this before but we went to see my (our) very first Broadway show! We went at the end of October with our friend Krystal and had GREAT seats. Michael C. Hall was the headliner for this show and it just blew our socks off. So much so, when we ( Robb and I) got home we decided that we wanted to go again but only IF we could get better seats... so we played around on our phones and computer and then finally called and we were able to get second row center aisle seats! Talk about a difference. So we purchased them right then and there. After that we had to actually plan how we would be getting to and from NYC and what days to take off ect... Our show was the day after thanksgiving so that meant we would be missing time with our family but honestly we were OK with it, I was a little sad about it ON thanksgiving but I moved on from it. Driving from Broken Arrow to New York is a very, VERY long drive but it was so 100% worth it.

We saw so many other things we missed the first time being that close, also you could 100% tell when they were looking at you and you could see and hear so many other things, it was just so fantastic, like a dream I still can't believe I was apart of. To top it off this show is somewhat interactive on a certain song. So we had only HOPED that we would be chosen for one of the things he does and we totally lucked out and got 2 of the 3!!! It was amazing. He comes out into the crowd and gives someone a "car-wash" and he came down RIGHT next to where we were so Robb kind of got ready for him I guess and he looked right at him and said " ohh you want this!?" needless to say my husband got a lap dance from MCH! ( I couldn't stop looking at his legs, I mean come on, perfection) then he jumped, yes jumped off the chair turned and then looked at me for a beat or so then took my glasses off my face and licked them! So SO much saliva on them lol, Robb said he noticed him looking at me for a bit and started to think " OK what's happening". It was unreal! I really don't think we could have chosen a better show to see for our first Broadway experience or second one for that matter.

If you look up "Sugar Daddy" on YouTube at the Tony awards performed my NPH you can get a better idea of what we experienced during the show! (Car wash!)

After the show we stood outside for a bit to see if he would be coming out to do autographs for the matinee showing or later that night. While we were out there waiting, a man and a woman walked out together ( go figure) walked past us stood for a bit talking then walked by again. I KNEW I had seen him before but I had no clue what his name was so all I was able to say to Robb was " that's the guy from Grimm!!!!"  to which he said "OK, I don't watch that, so I don't know". I mean I just KNEW it was him, but not knowing his real name and not wanting to be all " Hey Grimm guy" I didn't say anything. So we found out that he would not be out but would more than likely be out after the night showing, which was over around 10:30 I think. So I wanted to be there no later than 9pm. I HAD to be in the front I did NOT want to miss the opportunity to get his auto and say hi.

We went to see the Friends exterior shot and the arch in Washington park while we were killing time and the cold just kept getting colder. Then we were back at the Balasco Theater to wait and try to get his auto we also really wanted to get Lena Hall's as well, Robb seems to have developed somewhat of a crush on her. So we stood out in the freezing cold and waited and waited as more and more people piled in and they set up all the barricades for them to come out. I am not even sure what time they actually came out but they DID!!! Lena was first and Robb got a picture with her, then after she left Michael came out for a bit, When he came over to our side I don't even know if i said an actual sentence to him I was just so happy to be THAT close to him ( again). Robb was a bit more brave and put his hand on his shoulder and said " Thanks for the car-wash man" to which Michael said " I just couldn't resist" and recreated what he saw Robb do to get ready for him to get up on the chair, I so so so wish I had recorded that but I was clearly not ready but Robb also told him we drove out from Tulsa to see him and he thanked us for coming. His mom was standing outside for a bit even and I don't remember what was asked but he said he had to get back in because his mom was there for him this show. and then he was gone, just like that. But man what a memory to have. He is just SUCH a beautiful man and so wickedly talented. We both wish they would re-record the soundtrack with his vocals as well. or film it for people to buy or something, but that is just a lot of wishful thinking. After that we went to have a very late dinner at Serendipity 3 and then it was back to the hotel to get things packed and ready for our half day in the City before we were to head back home.

I have a lot more do need to write about when it comes to our two NYC trips but I just really wanted to get this one out before I forgot to many of the details! If you have a chance to GO see this show DO IT! Run, don't walk, just get there. Amazing!

For the Dexter fans, yes this is on his car!! I died.

P.S. That man I saw after the show from Grimm, I looked up his name and then sent him a a Tweet about it and got this in return! Made the drive home much better. I was so excited I was right about it that I may have teared up from excitement.  Was SUCH a fun little trip, I know we spent majority of the time IN the car but again it was SO SO worth it! I am still super pumped about all this if you aren't able to tell. Much Love!

Let's Go Broncos!!!

So this past weekend we got to go to Denver.  Things didn’t work out EXCALTY how we had planned for them to but in the end I think it worked out pretty well.  We did miss an entire day in Denver but I also got to go to the affair of the heart with my Mon, grandma and mother in law. So yeah at least for me it worked out pretty well.  We actually made pretty good time getting there too; I really thought we had at least three hours left when Robb said we were right down the road from our hotel.  We came to see the Broncos play Dolphins in Denver. But we also hit up Pike Peak and Bolder while we were in town. I love Colorado. It’s seriously so beautiful there.  If Robb’s job took him there I don’t think I would be sad or upset about moving. I would honestly LOVE to live there. The mountains are just so pretty. I love it I really just do. Anyhow over 4 years ago when Robb took me to Co. for the 1st time he had taken me to the aquarium and that was fun but I have always remembered this ad they had up in there for this steak house. So it’s been this ongoing joke about going to THAT steak house the next time we go to Co. Of course we couldn’t remember which one it was but we did happen to see a commercial for one called Ted’s in Boulder so we knew that was the one we were going to go to. Man was that the best steak we have ever had. We even tried the Bison Nachos (delish), so really if you are ever in Boulder, CO. you should check out that steak house.

So when Sunday came around it was time to get ready for our game. We had been looking at the weather and knew it was supposed to snow while we were watching the game but that morning and even before the game started it was really nice out so we weren’t really expecting it to get as cold as it did.  We checked out some of the tail gating and I got my face painted and Robb tried to kick a field goal (he didn’t do so well) and we took a picture together and watched the live band that was playing. It was so much fun. The stadium was beautiful and clean. I even grabbed a drink that was delish! I think I will try to recreate that one even. The game was a blast and we had the most beautiful view from our seats, we could see the mountains just past the screen/score board, got to watch the sun set, and even tho we had a pretty bad first half we really brought it out in the second half to come back and win the game! Then after the game we met up with Lisa, Chris Harris’s mom ( she and my aunt are good friends and I went to HS with Chris) so she gave us passes and we got to go on the field and stand where all the “friends and family” get to go and wait for their player to come get them, which lets you see all kinds of things and some of the other players, sadly we didn’t get to see Payton at all but we DID get to snag  a picture with Wes Welker! and of course one with Chris and Lisa, and then we took one with a player Lisa kept calling “Meat Loaf” it didn’t really turn out but he was a nice guy, HUGE but nice. And I also noticed a cutie who I was informed was the tallest quarterback in the NFL, so I am guessing he is the back up to Payton. Wish I had taken a picture with him too but he kind of had an entourage around him and I didn’t want to bother him. After all that we went to have dinner at this wonderful hole in the wall Mexican place before we headed home. It was such a fun weekend and I still cannot get over the fact that we got to see the Broncos play  IN DENVER and get to go on the field and see so many of the players! I am already looking forward to the next game we go see. I keep telling Robb we should get season tickets but apparently they are on a 10 year waiting list! I am not the biggest “watch football on TV” person but I do LOVE to watch it live.

Tonight I have to get home and pack up as quickly as I can to get ready for our road trip to NYC. We are going to Michael C Hall on Broadway again, and I know I still need to write about our trip to NYC in October but I just haven’t had the time. I will get it to soon tho.  Wish us safe travels as we keep getting told we shouldn’t be going tonight. It’s going to be fun and I am looking forward to it! J

The last of my 20s

Yesterday was in fact my 29th Birthday. Lizzi was so kind as to remind me that it is the last of our 20s. Which you know makes me feel super old. How am I already almost 30. We really didn't do much, I woke up and played on my phone while trying to get Robb awake as per usual on a weekend. My sweet Emily called me to wish me a great day and helped talk Robb into getting up so we could go get breakfast. After that mostly just a super lazy day. We did go look at a halloween store and picked up a few more things and got our house decorated. I do LOVE getting the house ready for Halloween. Have I told you that is my favorite holiday? I meant to get some pictures of it last night but I forgot. I will try to do that tonight. Anyhow here is what we had done so far.

Then later we had my Birthday Dinner at Bonefish Grill another one of my favorite restaurants followed by the premier of The Walking Dead! That was pretty much my day. Lazy days are always nice. Today, Monday we have off work too which is why I am blogging about the weekend now. It has been raining quite a bit and I am yet again just being lazy. Doing laundry and catching up on some of my TV shows. I am thinking about going to get something for lunch as its almost 2:30pm and I still haven't ate anything today. We don't really have anything new or exciting coming up for a few weeks either so I doubt I will blog again untill AFTER our NYC trip! Which I cannot wait for!! Until then XOXO

Only picture taken at Dinner, wish we had taken another to see the other side of the table.

A Night with the Oklahoma Ghost Hunters

Leah and I had been talking about going to this for at least a year now, so I was beyond excited when it was finally time for us to get to do this! I also counted this as my birthday dinner with just the Fosters! The food was of course amazing, as always. If you haven't been here to just eat you REALLY should! Plus if you are a Halloween freak like me you will love that its Haunted! We all sat down and enjoyed our dinner, and then we had a slide show talking about all the "chases" they had been on in Oklahoma and then we got to hear some EMF or something that was specific to The Pink House. I am not sure I 100% believe all of it but it was still a lot of fun! After that we were able to tour the house and hear a few more stories. Chris and Robb somehow managed to get a tour of the kitchen and basement as well and that was REALLY cool. So much history in Wagoner. Its pretty amazing. We had a lot of fun. I know Leah took some videos so when she posts those I will try to remember to link them back to this post.

This "person" was being super creepy as people were coming in for the dinner.

They also took pictures of us as we all came in, Sadly we came in at different times and then stayed so late we didn't get a group picture.

New Ink!

So this past Friday, I finally was able to get my tattoo covered up. Don't get my wrong I didn't HATE the tattoo I covered up, I was just at a place where I no longer wanted or needed the reminder. When I got the tattoo I was in an emotional state and mostly got it out of anger. It DID do what I wanted it to do but it was just time to move on. Am I glad I did. I love my new tattoo. Grandma isn't as happy with it, she thinks it is to large and it IS a bit larger than I was thinking it would be, but as it was a cover up, in order TO cover it up, I had to go bigger. Robb took me to work that morning as he was off on that day and then picked me up to take me to the tattoo parlor. Leah came out as well to be here for me. Scott Wilson was my tattoo artist, referred to me by Leah. I won't say I wasn't nervous because I was. I had also been watching his FB page closely to see what all he had and was doing, which was mostly cover ups. So as time went on and we got closer to time to get it done I wasn't as nervous. I knew he would do a great job. It is kind of amazing how you forget what they feel like. I wouldn't say it was awful, some areas hurt more than others but in my mind I had built it up to something much worse so when it felt like we had JUST started and he was already almost done I was feeling pretty great. Here are the pictures of the concept, what it was and what it is now. I am beyond happy with it. Something I am finally proud to have and show off. Even if it is super sore still.
This is the Only Owl I had found that I really liked.

This is what it has been for about 6 years, and My view of it.

I am a nerd and wanted to get a pic after with the man that took away that awful reminder for me.

Isn't that amazing!?

Here is a closer look at the progress in stages.

I am so happy with it. I am sure work wont be too excited but I almost always have on a jacket and this is on my right hand so when I am working ( using the mouse or keyboard) you cannot see it anyhow. Thank you again to my sweet husband for letting me do this. Love it so much!

P.S. This is what I am currently using to help heal my Tattoo, the name is pretty funny and it has been working great so I just wanted to share that with you all as well.

Already looking forward to my next one. I am thinking my hip?
